JLab Research

We study how rising seas and ocean temperatures affect our marine plants, animals and ecosystems. We work at the bottom of the ocean, where it is wet, muddy, and salty. We are based at the William & Mary's Batten School of Coastal and Marine Science & Virginia Institute of Marine Science.

Expertise
  • Salt marshes, mangroves, wetlands

  • Climate change, sea-level rise, ocean warming

  • Benthic invertebrates including: worms, crabs, clams, mussels, amphipods, isopods, snails
